Paul Stanley, born Stanley Bert Eisen on January 20, 1952, is an American musician best known as the co-founder, rhythm guitarist, and co-lead vocalist of the rock band Kiss. Known for his "Starchild" persona, he has been a constant member of the band since its inception in 1973.
Stanley's early musical influences included artists like Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard. He formed several bands in his youth before meeting Gene Simmons, which led to the creation of Kiss.
Beyond his work with Kiss, Stanley has pursued solo endeavors, including a solo album in 1978 and a stint starring in a Toronto production of "The Phantom of the Opera" in 1999. He is also a painter and has exhibited his artwork publicly.
Stanley is credited with writing or co-writing many of Kiss's most successful songs, and he continues to perform with the band on their ongoing "End of the Road" farewell tour.
